Biography

As a Director and Registered Architect at Pacific Environments, Clive brings over two decades of local industry experience, specialising notably in education and residential projects. Since joining in 2003, Clive has helped steer the Auckland studio, dedicated to crafting functional designs that align with client aspirations.

·        Noteworthy among his achievements is the Māngere Refugee

         Resettlement Centre School, underscoring his passion for

         creating meaningful spaces for local communities.

·        Clive is committed to sustainable design, echoed in his

         leadership role.

·        His expertise spans client management, business

         development, and on-site observation,

·        Clive values a strong emphasis on delivering architectural

         solutions that merge functionality with compelling design

         frameworks.

·        In 2024/25 Clive is the Incoming Chair for Learning

         Environments New Zealand, and will assume the role of

         Chair in 2026

Peter has a comprehensive background spanning Architecture, business management, and ownership. Co-leading a successful team of professionals, he fosters an inclusive and supportive culture, prioritising inspired project delivery through mentoring and individual growth.

·        Pete's expertise is predominantly in residential, lifestyle,

         commercial, and industrial projects, notably in the Retirement

         Team for over 30 years.

·        Master planning, architecture, and ESD integration.

·        His 'entrepreneurial approach' blends creative design with

         pragmatic, cost-effective solutions, balancing business

         strategy and process with networking, marketing, and

         branding.

·        Outside work, he is found adventuring, travelling and into

         sport; pool and ocean swimming, cycling, tramping, walking,

         and adventure/endurance racing, along with attempts at

         DIY projects.

With thirty years of experience in the Architectural & Urban Design field, Grant joined Pacific Environments in 2013 after successfully running his own company, Grant Neill Architects Ltd for many years.

Grant is a registered architect and a qualified urban designer, with Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Urban Design degrees from The University of Auckland with First Class Honours.

Grants Architectural specialities are:

• Large scale medium and high density residential developments

• Large scale social housing developments

• Iwi Papa Kāinga design

• Medical Centre Design

• Commercial and Retail Design

• Masterplanning of large sites for housing and retirement

   developments.

 

Urban Design specialities include:

• Writing expert urban design technical reports

• Working with planning consultants and others to produce

   structure plans

Biography

Erxin is a multifaceted leader, with a wide spectrum of projects spanning high end residential, medium density developments, retail / commercial, and retirement villages.

·        Each project is designed with a holistic approach and a

         rigorous thought process, ensuring that the result

         exceeds client expectations.

·        Some of the notable projects of his career so far are Whitianga

         Dockside, a gateway development for the Whitianga

         Waterways, and The Botanic Retirement Village,

         where its clubhouse and pool house showcases innovative

         mass timber construction.

·        Erxin is a keen observer and constantly draws inspiration from

         his travels near and far.

·        Outside of the office, Erxin enjoys mountain biking,

         snowboarding and the occasional fishing trip.

A multitasker with meticulous attention to detail, she integrates invaluable construction-phase experience into designs that align with briefs, elevate user experiences, and prioritise practicality.

With a focus on client satisfaction, quality assurance, workload management, and team training, Caroline has seen career highlights like attending the Pōwhiri for a new Principal she collaborated with and witnessing mentored colleagues become NZ Registered Architects.

Caroline enjoys baking and aspires to be fitter than she is.

         Waiheke Library and Arahoe School Block 1 Conversion,

         regularly in his Noelex 22.  When there is no wind, nothing

         beats fishing with mates and a cold beverage.

Biography

Lyn brings over two decades of expertise founded in residential architecture. With an interest in cost-effective environmentally sustainable design, Lyn specialises in Retirement Villages, Aged Care and Housing.  Lyn regularly attends Continuing Professional Development programs on Retirement and Aged Care, Architecture and Sustainability.

Recent accomplishments include the design, documentation and construction observation of The Grove Orewa Retirement Village and  Wainuiomata Retirement Village, design and documentation of Whitby Aged Care and  Horowhenua Retirement Village Extension. Lyn's approach emphasises practical cost effective design solutions while nurturing enduring client relationships.

When not at work Lyn can be found in her garden or on a yacht, either racing with friends in the harbour or cruising the Hauraki gulf in her own yacht.

         and office system optimisation at Pacific Environments.

·        In his spare time, Iliya enjoys skiing, DIY and building Lego

Sarah has been a member of the Pacific Environments team for nearly 13 years, building and refining the branding and marketing for the architectural studio.

         and centre. She is proud of the company brand identity that

         has developed over her career with Pacific Environments

·        Sarah loves all things creative, and has a hands-on approach. 

·        Outside the office she is a mum to three small children, is an

         artist and illustrator and recently moved to a lifestyle-block!

         marketing and brand initiatives to ensure smooth

         practice operations.

·        Outside of work, Caroline enjoys cycling, skiing, and boating.

         She is also passionate about painting and printmaking,

         holding exhibitions and tutoring Experimental Printmaking

         classes at the Waikato Society of Arts since 2012.

Rachel is a design-focused architect who strongly believes in transparent communication with clients, which leads to exceptional design outcomes. She engages her clients with a people-centered approach, ensuring that each project aligns with their unique needs and considers the future users of the building.

 

·        At Pacific Environments, Rachel specializes in educational,

         commercial, and community projects. Her creative energy

         shines through in her impressive hand drawings, while her

         swift BIM modelling skills allow her to expand clients' visions,

         where she consistently exceeds their expectations.

·        She has also obtained Homestar assessor certification and

         dedicates her time to educating clients on sustainable design,

         always encouraging them to integrate sustainable principles

         into their projects. Recently, Rachel began conducting carbon

         analysis for projects in-house using various software, providing

         valuable data to help clients make environmentally conscious

         decisions regarding building material selection.

·        In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading books, watching

         sci-fi movies, and playing tennis with her family while building

         a Lego empire at home. Recently, she took up 3D printing

         after having difficulty finding an affordable Stormtrooper

         costume for her son.

         photography, viewing interior fit-outs and landscaping

         as integral extensions of architecture, aiming for

         cohesive and inviting spaces for occupants.

         not running after her two small little princesses!

         these principles across projects.

David transitioned from landscaping and construction to study Architecture at TeHerenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. A valued member of the Pacific Environments team for eight years, David specialises in passive and low-carbon architecture, with a focus on the planning, concept and developed design phases.

·        With a love for scandinavian and industrial aesthetics, David

         utilises strong forms and durable materials in his designs.

·        Noteworthy achievements include completing the Hawkes

         Bay Sports Hall and Extension, the Wainuiomata Common

         Facility, and collaborating with artist Kazuhisa Nakagawa

         for the Sculpture on the Gulf competition entry

·        Outside of work, David enjoys mountain biking, practicing

         guitar, playing tennis, bushwalks, stream swims, and spending

         time with his young daughter.
