Each architectural project is different - has different planning needs, consents, design requirements, styles, time frames, consultants and services. Pacific Environments NZ Ltd provides full architectural design services to help meet these needs. By having these abilities in house, provided by our specialist Urban Design, Interior Design and Architectural staff (along with their many years of varied experience), means we can overlay their services on your project. This results in a more cohesive project as all these can come into consideration earlier, meaning we have all areas covered and inputting into the design earlier rather than retrospectively editing the design further in the process.
Our approach is to guide the way while making the process understandable and more enjoyable. We do it together where we tailor the services to suit your needs -especially if it’s your first-time. We recognise the huge investment and the trust that is needed when starting out.
Through our education and experience we have developed necessary skills to provide an overview of the entire building process to steer you through and where necessary know when to get outside help. All projects are unique and we offer a selection from our comprehensive services:
THE DESIGN OF THE INTERIOR SPACES OF BUILDINGS
The interior design team at Pacific Environments NZ Ltd provide fresh, creative interior solutions that are functional and appealing
THE SPACE BETWEEN BUILDINGS
Urban design is all about designing and shaping areas, dealing with the bigger picture of a built up area. Our goal is to make urban spaces functional, attractive and sustainable
ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
DESIGN PROCESSES REDUCING OUR IMPACT ON THE EARTH
Sustainable design and development is maintaining a delicate balance between the human need to improve lifestyles, and preserving the natural resources and ecosystems on which we depend.
MULTIPLE BUILDINGS WITHIN A SITE
Similar to urban design but involves the bigger picture and building placement within a single site. CPTED principles are used to ensure safe places are created.
We emphasis the value of listening and -really understanding the spatial and budgetary needs, as well as your lifestyle and dreams. Only then do we start the design process. Your involvement in the project -whether more hands-on or fully guided, is discussed to ensure expectations are achieved.
The outcome for you is a well-designed and resolved project, added value, on programme, budget and an enjoyable process.
The teams’ enjoyment comes from working through unique and complex design challenges while delivering innovative and exciting pragmatic outcomes -hopefully that fulfil and often far exceed initial expectations. Their positive, energetic and hands on approach means they deliver real tailored solutions, not generic answers.
It’s important that everyone is proud of the achievements.
WHITBY LAKES RETIREMENT VILLAGE
We have been involved with the Whitby Lakes Retirement village, assessing an existing scheme for the client. Through masterplanning, then re-designing the development we were able to achieve an additional 40 units and added significant land value. Our Architecture team re-designed the building with Interiors Team taking over on the funiture selection, material choices and finishes for the whole interior of the village.
NORTHERN HEALTH SCHOOL
First working with the school to assess schemes for possible locations for the school, our Architects and Interior Designers were then brought on to work with the school to fit out their choice of location. Work included internal layout of spaces as well as finishes and furniture.
ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Pacific Environments NZ Ltd have been involved with the team at Auckland Council and Waiheke Library, consulting with them and the community for the development of their Waiheke Library.
The Architecture team developed the design of the building - incorporating artists - and then worked on the inside of the building too, choosing materials and finishes that are hard wearing and reflect the environment. Our ESD specialists were involved in making efficient use of the design and bringing in external specialists when required.
