WEST PLAZA
As iconic today as when it was first built (1972), West Plaza is a building very much of it’s time. The vertical fins cleverly mask the faceted nature of the exterior skin and these, together with the wind scoops at the base of the building and the curved plan, gives it an international quality. It is still head and shoulders above other multistorey developments and demonstrates that not all successful buildings need to be the same. It is a respected and desirable landmark building on the CBD of Auckland
Designed by Neville Price when the firm was known as Price Adams Dodd
