Alterations to this classic 1950's brick house required extensive modifications, yet in a sympathetic modern feel; improved living and flow, a new master suite, indoor-outdoor living, new bathrooms, and the entry was remodelled with a new roof and exterior cladding.

Stacked honed concrete blocks were selected and placed against a white colour scheme, with silver joinery to emphasise the modern styling, and completed with a bold red entry door!

A large gallery forms the living space, with a recessed sitting area around the fire for cosy evenings, while a new conservatory pavilion opens onto the decks, taking advantage of wide harbour and native kauri forest views.

The simplicity of the finished house belies the extent and care of design detailing and construction work undertaken. The final landscaping sets the house sympathetically into it's natural setting ensuring very satisfied clients.
