5 - Birkenhead College Fitness Centre


In addition to ongoing work including technology room upgrades, science laboratory block redevelopment, administration block redevelopment, cafeteria and a theatre development a substantial alteration and addition to an existing gymnasium and swimming pool provided the College with a second gymnasium, fitness centre, change-rooms and administration offices.


Rain water is collected for re-use in toilets, solar water heating panels are available for heating the showers and sub floor ventilation grills naturally cool the new basketball gymnasium.
