This project consists of an existing Hall built around the time of the original school which was in need of upgrade, male and female change rooms and facilities, store area, covered deck and music suite comprising music classroom with direct access to the exterior, 4 soundrated practice rooms and instrument store.
The existing hall was increased in size by removing small rooms along the western side and then providing a covered deck to give another major point of entry.
The form of the existing hall was enhanced by the construction of back of stage facilities behind a curved wall with a covered walkway.
The music suite was located in the space to the east of the existing hall with sound rated practice rooms and store rooms behind the music room. The music room has the facility of being able to open up to the grassed area outside to provide for a small outdoor performance area on the elevated deck.
