As a turn-of-the-century family villa, the owners wanted to maximise and modernise the downstairs living spaces by opening up the huge potential of the roof volumes. It was important to keep the ‘villa flavour’ which was achieved by using sympathetic forms, elements and details creating an open planned modern kitchen and living space down stairs and a master suite and bedrooms upstairs, in what has become an admired home an identity in the area.
