3 - sileni estates lodge  Hawkes Bay, New Zealand


The Sileni Estates Lodge overlooks one of the Sileni Estates Vineyards and has distant views of the Kawekas and Te Mata Peak.


This simple gabled roofed building with full verandah compliments Sileni Estates Winery by accommodating international wine and food connoisseurs as well as providing a first class venue for small conferences and functions in the Hawkes Bay area.

The Zincalume roof, cedar cladding and low river stone walls minimise maintenance requirements. Outside, deep verandahs protect multiple bi-fold door arrangements. Interior materials have also been chosen to keep maintenance low. A polished concrete floor slab extends through the entry, living, dining areas as well as into a small maturation cellar. The lofty ceiling height adds to the spatial qualities and provides some upper level sanctuaries for library resources, reading, TV and work areas.

Comfortable accommodation for up to twelve guests is ensured with the provision of five bedrooms each with their own tiled en-suite and outdoor access. Upstairs we find a sixth bedroom and en-suite at one end of the Lodge and a library and TV room featuring a double sided river stone faced fireplace at the other.
